Meet the Dab Rite Go
The Dab Rite GO is a next-generation wireless Multi-Point Digital IR Thermometer designed for portability and smart connectivity. Key features include:

Before You Start
Charge your Dab Rite GO fully before first use. Connect the magnetic charging cable to the bottom of the unit and plug into any standard USB power source. We recommend charging for 1–2 hours prior to first use.
The device uses a magnetic bottom charging connection. Align the magnetic puck to the bottom of the unit — it will snap into place automatically.
Power On / Off & Auto Off
Power On: Press and hold the Left Button for 1 second until the purple light activates. The OLED screen will illuminate.
Power Off: Press and hold the Left Button for 3 seconds. You will see a red blink and hear a beep confirming the unit has powered off.
Auto Off: The Dab Rite GO will automatically power off if left on and unused for 5 minutes to preserve battery life.
Reset: There is a reset button located underneath the USB charging port. Use a thin tool to press if the device requires a reset.
LED Color Guide & Sounds
Powering On / Off & Auto Off
Once your banger is placed near the sensor, the LED and OLED display will reflect the current temperature in relation to your set Dab Temp:
LED Color Indications
🔴 Red / Yellow = Too Hot / Temperature is above your set Dab Temp
🟡 Yellow = Cooling / Getting closer to your set Dab Temp
🟢 Solid Green + beeps = Dab Temp Ready / Time to dab!
🔵 Solid Blue + beeps = Dunk Temp Ready / Safe to clean your banger
Sound Alerts:
Solid Green + beep sequence = Dab Temp reached
Solid Blue + beep sequence = Dunk Temp reached
Red blink + beep = Powering off
Muting Sounds: To mute/unmute power on/off sounds, hold the Right Button for 3 seconds while the unit is powered on. You will hear a click confirming the change.
Display Screens & Icons
The Dab Rite App
The Dab Rite App is available for both iOS and Android devices. Search “IR Sync” in the App Store or Google Play to download or scan the QR code on the Quick Start Guide for a link.
The app allows you to:
- Customize temperature presets — Set precise Low, Medium, and High dab temperatures
- Save preferred dab temps — Your settings are stored and synced to the device
- Live temperature monitoring — Watch your banger temp in real time on your phone screen
- Invert screen — Flip the display orientation for your preferred setup
The app is the best way to dial in your exact temperatures. Button cycling on the device toggles between your three saved presets.
Bluetooth Pairing
First Time Setup:
- Power on the Dab Rite GO (Left Button, 1 sec)
- Click the Left button 5 times → You will see a blue blink and hear a double beep, indicating the device is in Bluetooth pairing mode
- Open the Dab Rite App on your phone
- Select “Connect to Dab Rite GO” from the app’s device list
- Once connected, the Bluetooh logo and “AP” will appear on the display
Reconnecting: On subsequent uses, the Dab Rite GO will attempt to automatically reconnect to your previously paired device when the app is open. If it does not reconnect, repeat the pairing steps above.
Troubleshooting Bluetooth:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
- Make sure the Dab Rite App is open and running
- If the device cannot be found, click the Left button 5 times to re-enter pairing mode
- If issues persist, use the reset button located under the USB charging port
Temperature Presets
The Dab Rite GO supports three onboard presets — Low, Medium, and High — which can be customized and saved through the Dab Rite App.
Note: When connected to the app, AP mode is displayed, indicating the app is controlling the temperature. Factory presets can be changed in the app at any time.
Cycling Presets: From the home screen, press the Right Button to cycle through your three saved presets. The current preset is shown on the OLED screen and confirmed with an LED color and beep.
Sensor Placement
Distance: Place the Dab Rite GO 3–5 inches away from your banger for accurate temperature readings.
Aiming the Sensor: Use the green LED Guide Light to help center the sensor on your banger:
- Triple-click the Right Button to toggle the Guide Light ON/OFF (triangle icon on display)
- Position the unit so the green guide light illuminates the center bottom or side of your banger
- The closer you are within the 3–5 inch range, the smaller and more precise the measurement area
Orientation: The Dab Rite GO is a spherical unit. Do not over rotate the ball — this will stop operation. Keep the sensor aimed at your banger at all times during use.
Distance-to-Spot Ratio: The Dab Rite GO sensor uses a multi-point sensor system. An evenly heated banger is recommended for the best results.
Suggested Temperatures
Vaporization temperatures can range based on several factors like concentrate type, banger type, use of terp pearls and more. The following are suggestions to be used as a starting point, but we encourage you to dial your unit in yourself based on your specific needs.
Heating Your Banger
Bucket Banger: Torch the entire banger evenly for about 30 seconds and temp from the bottom or the side of the bucket.
Slurper Banger: If measuring the temperature from the side or the column/barrel we recommend torching the bottom dish of the slurper first for about 5–6 seconds, then torch the rest of the banger above the dish evenly for another 20–25 seconds. If temping from the bottom, heat the entire slurper evenly for about 30 seconds.
Tip: An evenly heated banger will produce the most consistent and accurate temperature readings.
Temperture Sensing
Once your banger has been properly heated, place the Dab Rite GO 3–5 inches away from the banger, aimed at the center.
A properly torched banger will display a red temperature reading on the OLED screen when first aimed at the sensor — this indicates the banger is TOO HOT.
Temperature Color Indicators:
- 🔴 Red — HI (Too Hot): Temperature is 101°F or more above your Set Dab Temp
- 🟡 Yellow — Temperature is 20–100°F above your Set Dab Temp
- 🟢 Green — DABBING RANGE: Temperature is within ±20°F of your Set Dab Temp
- 🔵 Blue — DUNKING/LOW: Temperature is 21°F or more below your Set Dab Temp
Taking Your Dab
Bucket Banger: Once the Green alert activates (solid green LED + beep sequence), place the dabber tool with your concentrate in the banger and let it melt off the dabber before placing your carb/spinner cap on top and inhaling.
Slurper Banger: Once the Green alert activates, place the dabber tool with your concentrate near an intake vent in the corner where the dish and column meet. Inhale while letting the concentrate melt into the column/barrel of the slurper.
Cooling Down & Dunking the Banger
After your dab, place the banger back in position near the sensor. Allow the temperature to continue reading. Once the Blue alert activates (solid blue LED + beep sequence), your banger has cooled to a safe temperature for cleaning.
Cleaning with a Cotton Swab: Use a dry or lightly alcohol-dampened cotton swab to remove any remaining concentrate from inside the banger while still warm.
Dunking: Place the banger in 91%+ isopropyl alcohol and allow the banger (and any terp pearls, if used) to rinse. Use a cotton swab to remove any remaining debris if necessary. Remove the banger from the alcohol, and dry thoroughly with a microfiber cloth or towel. Make sure to dry the inside properly so all alcohol evaporates before next use.
Sensor Cleaning
The Dab Rite GO features a gasketed silica shield covering the sensor, reducing the chance of debris obstructing the sensor’s IR field.
To clean the sensor shield:
- Use a cotton swab very lightly dipped in 70%+ isopropyl alcohol
- Gently wipe the shield to remove any debris
- Do not use too much alcohol on the swab
- If debris remains, use a thin tool or toothpick to gently remove it
- A clean shield will look shiny and mirror-like
⚠️ Do not scratch the sensor shield or use anything abrasive to clean it.
Body Cleaning
To clean the body of the Dab Rite GO, use a small amount of 70% isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth or soft towel.
- Do not use anything abrasive — you risk scratching the body
- Avoid rubbing any graphic areas with alcohol
- Do not let alcohol or liquid near the buttons or charging port
- Do not oversaturate the cleaning cloth with alcohol
Silicone Cover Cleaning (if applicable): We recommend removing any silicone covers prior to cleaning to avoid alcohol getting inside the unit. Gently pull on the silicone to remove. Clean with a lightly alcohol-dampened microfiber cloth, rinse in alcohol or dunk tank if desired, then dry and re-insert. We recommend replacing silicone components every few months.
Charging & Battery
The Dab Rite GO supports two charging methods:
Option 1 — Magnetic Charging (included):
- Align the magnetic charging puck to the bottom of the unit — it will snap into place
- Plug the other end into any standard USB power source
Option 2 — Direct USB-C:
- Roll the ball/sensor down to reveal the charging port
- Connect a USB-C cable directly to the USB-C port on the body of the unit
- Plug the other end into any standard USB power source
Charge for 1–2 hours before first use.
Battery Indicator: Battery life is displayed on the OLED screen while powered on and charging.
