The Dab Rite Pro Is Here.

Let’s Revisit The Basics: Why Placement Matters

Like All Rituals, A Great Dab Begins With Intention

First thing? Sensor Placement
Did you know the Dab Rite sensor reads a 3:1 distance-to-spot ratio?

That means placing it ½” from the banger gives you the most accurate read—any closer, and you risk melting the housing or damaging the sensor. When positioned further than  ½”, the sensor begins picking up ambient air outside of the intended field, leading to inaccurate temperature readings. Below, we discuss how we temp a Slurper vs. Bucket.

Slurper Tech
While you can position the sensor below the Slurper dish, we find placing the sensor on the column allows for the best experience since that is the central location where the vaporization is taking place.

We heat the bottom of the dish for a shorter period than the column, and drop the oil onto the dish rather than running it up and down. If torching, make sure you’re evenly painting, with the tip of the flame, all around the column of the slurper to ensure a proper heat up.
Bucket Tech
Place the sensor centered below—the LED Guide Light should hit the edge of the banger. We recommend waiting until the oil has fully melted off the dabber before inhaling to avoid cooling the banger down too quickly.
Remember: the elements play a crucial role in every dab. Fans, ACs, and breezes = much faster cooldowns. Don’t forget to factor that into your timing.

Once you’re dialed in, go enjoy this sacred season!
Lay in the grass. Watch the clouds. Read in the shade. Take your dog for a golden hour stroll. Midsummer’s a vibe—and a properly temped dab only makes it better.
